Desert Island Book Tag

I was tagged to do this tag by the lovely Bhramori and Danielle, whose blogs are awesome! If you haven’t checked them out already, you should definitely do so! Anyways, without further ado, let’s move on to the actual tag!

1.) Water- A Book You Can Simply Not Live Without

The Fault in Our Stars

I know it’s a cliche, but I’m going to have to go with The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I love all of his books equally (I’m also going to be posted a review on his novel Paper Towns shortly), but if I had to pick my favorite, it would be TFIOS. I reread that book so many times, and whenever I feel like I need a good cry or something to think about, I skim the pages till I find a memorable quote. That novel is precious to me and always will be.

2.) Food: A Book That is a Close Second on Your Favorites List

Legend Series

I really don’t have a favorites list when it comes to books. I really can’t pick favorites, because all novels have aspects that are enjoyable and aspects that they could improve upon. However, if I had to pick, I would choose the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu. Marie Lu is an incredible writer, and I will basically read anything from her. I would even read her grocery lists if she gave them out.

3.) Shelter: A Book That Makes You Feel at Home and Safe

Shiver

I know this is going to be a weird answer, but I’m going to say Shiver by Maggie Steifvater. I distinctly remember sitting in the warmth of my room, snuggled under a thick blanket, reading the novel with the window wide open and the night slowly approaching. Even though that novel was less than great, the feelings of warmth and happiness are unfortunately stuck with it.

4.) Flare Gun: A Book You Would Recommend To Someone Who Doesn’t Read

Anna and the French Kiss

I would definitely recommend Anna and the French Kiss! This novel got me out of a reading stump and I have loved it ever since. It’s the perfect combo of love, fun, and comedy, allowing for an easy but enjoyable read. If you want to see my review for this, click here.

5.) Fire-Matches: Books That Warm Your Heart

let it snow

Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle is a wonderful heart-warming novel about Christmas, family, and love, and it is by far my favorite season-themed book. If you want to check out my review for this, click here.

6.) Compass: Book That Directed You Towards Your Love of Reading

Spiderwick Chronicles

I’m pretty sure that that’s the Spiderwick Chronicles by Holly Black. That series comprised of probably my earliest favorite books. I loved them so much and tried so hard to get all my friends to read them, who ended up telling me they thought it was “gross”. And that’s the exact moment I realized that I needed new friends.

Well, I guess that’s it for me! Now, time for the nominations:

  • Sripurna
  • Analee @ Book Snacks
  • Fantasy Angel
  • Erika
  • thetasteofdeath
  • thewritinghufflepuff
  • to all the boys that exist in the fictional world
  • HusbandandHusband

Thank you for reading!
