I have always wanted to join a book club, and now I have finally decided to make one of my own! I have a lot of novels on my TBR list, and I believe this will really help me! If any of you guys have been dying to shorten your TBR pile, I would really love it if you joined me! If you would like to join my book club, please comment down below and maybe add a book suggestion so I can decide what to read first! So far, here are the novels I thought we could read:
1.) The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
2.) Eragon by Christopher Paolini
3.) Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
4.) An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
5.) Maze Runner by James Dashner
6.) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
7.) Cinder by Marissa Meyer
8.) Any Jodi Picoult, Stephen King, or Nicholas Sparks novel
9.) Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
10.) Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
11.) All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
12.) The Princess Bride by William Goldman
13.) Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
14.) Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
15.) Conversion by Katherine Howe
16.) The Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass
17.) Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
18.) Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Page
If any of you have other suggestions, please let me know! I would love it if you joined me, because I know that BookTube has book clubs and have decided that it was unfair if they had all the fun. If you want to join the book club, please comment down below! Thank you for reading!
You’ve got a lot of really great titles on that list. If you’ve never read Pride and Prejudice, I’d strongly recommend you put that at the top of your list. I resisted for a really long time because it was written in the 19th century and thought it would be boring or the language would be tough. It was WONDERFUL. Oh my goodness! I can’t believe I waited so long to read it!!! So, if you’ve not read it, add it to the top of your list.
If you’ve not read To Kill a Mockingbird, I would DEFINITELY put that at the top of your list, too.
Outlander is a commitment. It’s such a huge book, but it’s so worth it. But, a word of caution: make sure you have the rest of the series queued up or you’ll be sorry! 😉
Great blog! Good luck on your book club!

Thank you for the feedback! I’ll be sure to keep that in mind, since classics are definitely something I need to read more of! Would you be interested in joining the book club? It would be great to have someone of your expertise!

Hahah! I’m not sure I’m an expert, but I love book clubs! Sure – what do I need to do to join? I saw that you mentioned it on your blog, but then I got so excited about Pride and Prejudice! LOL!

I read “Attachments.” It was good for contemporary adult fiction but it wasn’t as great as her other books.

Right now I am reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, and the next book on the list will probably be Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl.

It’s just that I’m already in a book club and I’m not sure if I want to read two obligated books every month, especially if one of them is one I don’t want to read. Unless it’s okay to not participate every month? 🙂 Then I’d be fine with it!

You don’t have to participate every month! And I will try very hard to find a novel that you will enjoy!

I’d love to join, but I’m not sure I can manage to be quite regular. 😦 Does that make me eligible?
And I’m just being curious here, but does this list have all first-reads or are there some rereads listed here as well?

Yeah that’s fine! All of the books on that list were books that I haven’t read or haven’t completely finished. However, I would love to have your suggestions for a book to read!

Oh well, I’ve been aching to lay my hands on ACoTaR, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and the Grisha Trilogy, so it’d be lovely if you could include them somehow! 🙂

I’ll endorse this book club on one of my upcoming blog posts for sure!

I’ve never joined a book club before but that sounds like fun. I’ve read a few of these titles, many of them pretty recently, so maybe I’ll opt out of a few of these? Not sure how it all works…

You an also add Jane Eyre and Legend series to this list. You will like legend series. The hero is Mr. Not so perfect and the heroine is very intelligent and admirable.

Oh I read the Legend series! I absolutely loved it! But, I haven’t read Jane Eyre. It’s on my TBR though, and I should add it to my book club list!
